Resource mobilization and partnerships strategy for UNFPA Panama
Partnerships at all levels, including governments, UN agencies, parliamentarians, civil society (such as NGOs, foundations), the private sector, mass media and opinion leaders are at the heart of UNFPA new 2014-2017 Strategic Plan. This new approach comes from UNFPA commitment to consolidate the impact of its institutional activities in a changing context through organizational strengthening.
The country office of UNFPA Panama is trying to change the strategy it has been following until now to start focusing on partnerships. At the same time, UNFPA country offices in the LACRO region are expecting a reduction of their regular resources and for that reason, a way to diversify their donor base must be found.
