Overall project management of the online information platform Startfinder

Germany,Refugee
2019-2023

In the framework of the programme “Perspektive Heimat” (Home country prospects) of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is implementing the programme Migration for Development (PME). The objective of the Perspektive Heimat programme is to create perspectives for people interested in returning to their countries of origin. The PME programme aims to strengthen reintegration measures of migrants and refugees and thus give returnees better starting opportunities in selected countries of origin.

As part of the programme, GIZ has created an online information platform with information on return counseling, return promotion and, in particular, reintegration services in the countries of origin, originally called Build-your-Future. The first version went live on 5 July 2017 and was relaunched on 4 February 2019 under the new name Startfinder. The contract with GIZ was renewed for a third time, until June 2023.

In this context, GIZ has awarded GlobalCAD with the project “Overall project management of the online information platform for migrants / refugees “Startfinder”. The core objective of the project is to provide overall project management services for the online information platform for refugees Startfinder in a professional and successful way.
