The aim of this project was to conduct an in-depth research on the impact of the mining activities on Children’s Rights in specific regions of five countries: Colombia, Brazil, Tanzania, Madagascar and RD Congo. The research focused on two main areas:

  • The extent to which the State is protecting children’s rights pertinent to the mining sector at both the national/local levels
  • Impacts of the mining industry at the national/local level on children.
