The main objective of the project is to conduct situational analyses and baseline needs assessments and information about the development and/or implementation of Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) in the four countries Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, and Suriname, as well as facilitate the implementation of community-based mitigation and adaptation initiatives.

GlobalCAD acts as the Deputy International Adaptation Key Expert, assisting the International Adaptation Key Expert in the coordination, support and management of the in-country adaptation experts. For this task, the Expert will closely coordinate her activities with the international key expert(s). Furthermore, GlobalCAD supports the international project management team in coordination and quality assurance tasks. Partner: GFA Consulting Group

Methodological preparation of workshops, this includes development of questionnaire for systematic collection of information and structured stakeholder consultations process.

Provision of expert adaptation and NAP process related input and liaising with GFA’s backstopping experts, ensuring high quality of output and avoid any knowledge gaps.

Revision of country reports and quality assurance.
