Identification of financial mechanisms for climate change adaptation in the Selva El Ocote Biosphere Reserve - Cañón del Sumidero National Park Complex

The objective of the consultancy was to identify the necessary financial mechanisms to implement and give continuity to the adaptation measures of the Program of Adaptation to Climate Change of the eco-region Selvas Cálido-Húmedas in the state of Chiapas, known as the Parque Nacional del Cañón del Parque complex. Sumidero-Villa Allende-El Ocote Forest Biosphere Reserve. GlobalCAD also accompanied the government office in charge of the operation and management of the complex in the implementation of the identified mechanisms. In addition, the experience was systematized so that this experience could be a pilot to address the financial sustainability of climate change attention activities and could be replicated in other protected natural areas.
