IDB project with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago on the promotion of Sustainable Energy in Trinidad and Tobago. Trinidad and Tobago, a small island state in the Caribbean, has a long history in the exploitation of energy resources and its oil industry is one of the oldest in the world. However, to reduce the country’s dependence on fossil fuel, the Government of Trinidad and Tobago is in the process of crafting a Sustainable Energy Program that will maximize the use of its natural resources and develop the use of renewable and sustainable energy including energy efficiency.
