Evaluation of IDB microfinance programme
The project aims at evaluating the design, efficiency and effectiveness of the microfinance programme of the Inter-American Development Bank in the poorest and most conflictive states of Mexico, namely Chiapas, Guerrero and Oaxaca. The evaluation takes place at three levels: the institutional level of the IDB, the intermediary institutions and the end beneficiaries, with a focus on the topics microfinance, agricultural production and environment, sociology/community development and gender issues/women empowerment. The results of the evaluation will be used to identify strengths and weaknesses as well as the replicability of the programme in the region.
