Development of urban resilience strategies for cities in Kenya

The main goal of the Project is to design the urban resiliencies strategy of five specific cities in Kenya (Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, and Eldoret) in order to reduce the mitigation risks associated to climate change and enhance the opportunities to develop a more solid and robust economy which integrates the youth, generates jobs focused on the new transitional economy and thus, is focused towards a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient society.

An urban diagnostic, analyzing the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threads (SWOT)

The definition of a set of indicators to define a common vision

Institutional strengthening process to generate an integrated management system for data collection and data integration into the urban resilience plan

Link decision making with public proposals according to the results of these data
