Development of SDGs Courses within University of Bahrain PhD Program
The University of Bahrain’s Ph.D. program in Environmental Sustainable Development (ESD) equips students with diverse knowledge and perspectives to answer important concerns about environmental problems. GlobalCAD provided support to UNDP Bahrain & the UoB in the development of a 4 months course on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with the objective of getting the students enrolled in the university’s Environmental and Sustainable Development Ph.D. program acquainted with the SDGs and provide them with a deeper understanding on the 2030 Agenda.
Services Provided:
Setting up, testing and validating the platform for the online courses
Elaboration of a technical note and guide on the courses’ facilitation for future reference and revisions
Design and development of a 3-tier programme of courses on the SDGs focusing on i) the Fundamentals of the SDGs; ii) Intermediary SDGs and iii) Advance Theory and Applications in Achieving the SDGs
