Consultancy Services for Implementing the Green Growth Potential Assessment (GGPA)

The objective of this assignment is to apply the Green Growth Potential Assessment to Nepal to support the government in carrying out a gap analysis as a preliminary step toward the mainstreaming of green growth into development planning.

CAD coordinates the implementation of all project activities carried out by the consortium partners across the three components and is leading Component 1.

This involves:

Conduct desk research and draft a GGPA country report: identification of key issues and challenges related to Green Growth in Nepal, the underlying natural and human induces drivers, and relevant sectors; existing policy initiatives at national and international level and how they relate to green growth

Presentation of the results of the GGPA to stakeholders and facilitate consultations

Formulate policy recommendations which are framed in the context of Nepal’s Low Carbon Economic Development Strategy (LCEDS), Socio-economic Development Strategy (SEDS), Vision 2030, and the Three-Year Interim Plan, ensuring alignment and harmonization of green growth with national objectives and targets.
