Design of an evaluation framework for the National Adaptation Policy and monitoring system
GlobalCAD provides consulting services to the Government of Costa Rica to assist in the preparation of a proposal for the evaluation of the results of the National Adaptation Policy. On the other hand, it also collaborates in the development of a monitoring system that can be integrated into the National Metrics of the Climate Change System, within the framework of Costa Rica’s Nationally Determined Contribution.
Services Provided:
Systematization of relevant international experiences
Stakeholder mapping and design of a participatory process
Analysis of the National Climate Change Adaptation Policy and the related set of indicators, identification of strengths and weaknesses
Participatory elaboration of a set of indicators, as well as a proposal for their prioritization
Validation of the proposed system through stakeholder workshops and meetings
Development of protocols for measuring and gathering data, including the identification of data sources, institutional roles and responsibilities, periodicity or reporting, etc.
Elaboration of a proposal for the evaluation design of the results of the National Climate Change Adaptation Policy
