CAD signs a Framework Agreement with CAF to promote Green Economy in Latin America

On February 28th, in Panama City, CAD together with its strategic partner LKS, from Mondragon’s corporation, signed a Framework Agreement with the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) to promote green economy and strategic partnerships for a greater impact in the region’s development.

The Framework Agreement will allow to provide strategic guidance services in the areas of planning, management, execution and communication of projects implementing triple bottom line solutions (environmental, social and economic) in several areas, contributing to the sustainable development of the countries in the region.

Additionally, The Framework Agreement also includes the implementation by CAD and LKS of training programs to the Directorate Environment (DMA) staff and other CAF areas requiring training and tools in project management.

Training and Capacity Building course to the DMA

In the context of the Framework Agreement signature in Panama, CAD and LKS offered their first training and capacity building course to the DMA, in order to articulate its 2014-2017 Strategic Plan. All area directors attended the course, as well as the Financial Directorate and the CAF’s Executive Vice-President, Luis Enrique Berrizbeitia.

The next project, in the context of this Framework Agreement, will be to advise the Environment Directorate in the search for new non-traditional programs linked to mitigation and adaptation climate change programs.
