Annual BOP Global Network Conference in Brazil, November 7th and 8th, 2013

Enterprise for a Sustainable World (ESW) and Global Social Impact (GSI) in collaboration with the BoP Learning Labs from around the world (with the support of the private sector and partnerships with non-profit and government organizations) will host the first BoP Global Network Summit, November 7 – 8, 2013 in Sao Paulo – Brazil.

The forum will focus on pushing the boundaries of BoP business by highlighting innovative new clean technology products and inclusive business models for the base of the pyramid from around the world. Individual Learning Labs will present “Living Cases”—real -life BoP initiatives that are being implemented by entrepreneurs or corporate innovators–that are pushing the envelope in doing business with the base of the pyramid, environmentally, socially, and financially.

The event, which builds on the 2009 Cornell Global Forum on Sustainable Enterprise in New York City, will give entrepreneurs and corporate innovators the opportunity to share experiences, to explore emerging BoP challenges and opportunities, and to develop new networks and partnerships for future BoP business initiatives.

The 2012 BoP Global Network Summit will be the first Forum in Latin America that brings together the BoP Learning Labs from around the world with leading experts such as Dr. Stuart Hart, a top authority on the implications of environment and poverty for business strategy, along with leaders from the private sector, civil society, government, and development sector.

In addition, participants will also learn about the challenges and opportunities for BoP initiatives and partnerships in Brazil and the Latin American region.
