PEM Consulting, ATISAE and CAD introduce a reform of the risk inspection system for SMEs in Armenia.

In partnership with PEM Consulting and ATISAE, CAD implemented a project in the framework of the IFC’s Armenia Regulatory Simplification – Doing Business Reform Project, which aims at improving the business environment in Armenia, with a particular focus on SMEs. The project focussed on helping the Armenian government to understand and implement risk based approaches in pilot inspections. As a main output, the necessary checklists and background documents for inspections in the areas of occupational hygiene and hospital waste were developed. Additionally, the Armenian Government and the responsible regulatory bodies received training on the different mechanisms that will help implement a more optimal, cost efficient and effective inspection system in the country.
