CAD presents the concept of disruptive innovation as a means to create a more sustainable world.
CAD participated in the conference on the “Future of Sustainable Lifestyles and Entrepreneurship” in Cologne, Germany, organized by UNEP/Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production. In a ted style conference, the director of CAD, Fernando Casado, presented his view on the need for innovation to be able to reach a sustainable lifestyle and to incentivize sustainable entrepreneurship in the future.
The conference is part of the “SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050” project, supported by the European Commission’s 7th Framework Programme, which aims to bring together current knowledge, experience and stakeholders from across society – business, consumers, researchers, civil society, and politicians – in a highly interactive process that will develop a vision for sustainable lifestyles in 2050, and will deliver a roadmap for action: societal innovation, product, service and business model innovation opportunity spaces, and policy recommendations.
