

The following report analyzes the CSR of big family-owned Spanish enterprises and has been commissioned by the Institute of Family Owned Enterprises. It specially focuses on the intrinsic values, as well as sustainability of CSR in family-owned enterprises.

The report analyzes the state of CSR in big family-owned enterprises. The family-owned enterprises by its characteristics have a number of intrinsic conditions to integrate CSR into their daily management. Considering these aspects, the Family Business Institute sponsored the study “CSR in big Spanish family business” in order to answer three questions:
1. What is the status of CSR in big family-owned enterprises?
2. Is it true that CSR is intrinsic to a family business?
3. To what extent is CSR in family-owned enterprises different to other companies?
